| Why I do this?
I believe that we all tell stories in our lives. We walk around judging others by the stories that their lives are telling. The parts of the stories that we are seeing. Forgetting that we are only seeing one part of their story. Everyone deserves to have their whole story be heard with dignity and empathy.
Everyone deserves a chance to tell a better story and to have the systems and barriers torn down that have kept them from living that story to the fullest. If I can be an advocate in that process it is an honor.

| Success is no accident.
It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.
I am here because of my passion for helping people and trying to make a difference in the best way possible. I am following the footsteps of mi familia to always try to help those in need. I believe we should treat each other as equals. I believe we can
all make a difference if we try and working together can make a world of difference.

| I believe that sometimes all it takes is one person to show up with empathy, understanding, and genuine support for someone to begin building confidence in themselves. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, I understand the importance of advocating for individuals who may face challenges advocating for themselves. Building trust, fostering meaningful connections, and creating supportive communities are essential to helping individuals recognize their strengths and reach their full potential. It is my passion to see others succeed, and I believe that journey often begins with someone willing to recognize and highlight the potential that individuals may struggle to see in themselves. My goal is to be that person—to provide encouragement, understanding, and advocacy while empowering others to move forward with confidence.

Hi, I'm Erick Cepeda.
I earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice with double minors in Psychology and Homeland Security, alongside an M.S. in Criminology. Having extensive experience with vulnerable and complex populations, I have recognized that every case has a human story in need of an empathetic response. True-lasting change is better achieved through meaningful rehabilitative efforts, connecting individuals with local resources and networks, and addressing underlying causes of systemic involvement. By investing in these efforts, the overall objective is to reduce recidivism. Why I do this? We all benefit from a community.
