Expungement & Sealing
The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office recognizes that a person’s criminal history can create barriers to employment, housing, and education. If you have been arrested in Kane County or charged with an offense in Kane County, you may be eligible for the expungement or sealing of your records. The Illinois Supreme Court has a guide that can assist you in determining if you are eligible for expungement or sealing and has forms available to petition the Court for expungement or sealing.
