The State’s Attorney’s Office Civil Division serves as legal counsel for the County of Kane, Illinois, and its elected and appointed officials, including the County Chairman, County Board, and State’s Attorney. Sheriff, Public Defender, Judiciary, Court Services, Circuit Clerk, County Clerk, Coroner, Treasurer, Auditor, Recorder, Supervisor of Assessments, Regional Office of Education, and all Count Departments.

In addition, the State’s Attorney, through her Civil Division, represents all Kane County local government taxing districts in property tax litigation and additionally serves as the default auditing official under the anti-retaliation provisions of the Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act.
